Coaching
The new England boss, Roy Hodgson, named the squad for the Euro 2012. There were quite a few surprises both from the team he named and also from other players not named. James Milner and Downing did not play up to standard throughout the season with their respective clubs, and some fans expressed their concern at calling up these players. More surprising is the call-up of Ox Chamberlain, were he has still yet to prove his place at the Emirates.

Surprising non-calls are Rio Ferdinand, although some rumors are it's because of non-football reasons, especially since Terry has a pending racial case against Rio's brother; Carrick, Richards and Sturridge are other surprises.

Today in the limelight was the departure of Kenny Dalglish was sacked after the poor run in the Premier League, despite reaching the final of the FA Cup and winning the League Cup this year. Personally I think winning the League Cup is not important but when one sees that he beat Manchester City to reach the final you have to appreciate what he did! The FA Cup was lost to Chelsea and they had their fair share of chances in that game. But truly after February Liverpool were losing to nearly every team and so the poor run in the Premier League was the reason he was sacked, and maybe it was the best one. But the important thing is that now Liverpool get back up and try to reach that Champions League place which they have not been able to reach for 3 consecutive seasons.
