What happened this week in football?

Hello and welcome to my new blog... I'm new to this kind of writing, so any comments and suggestions to improve this blog are highly appreciated....

What's this blog about? It's about everything regarding football, any comments, clips, news etc... will be viewed here... And so for today the news surrounding this week was Manchester City winning the title after 44 years, in a very dramatic way... In my opinion they deserve every credit, as they played the best football throughout the season, although in the last 2 months they risked losing all the hard work they had done... But also in the highlight of the Premier Division one can't mention Arsenal 3rd place.... Arsenal start was disastrous to say the least, but the way they have managed to get to 3rd place is even more impressive! If Arsenal managed to win any of the previous 4 games then that 3rd place would have been obtained easier...

But other news from another league was also important... Inter lost the last game and so lost the Champions League spot.... Even if they have won Napoli and Udinese were still above them, and so Inter were resigned to play in the Europa League next season.... Just 2 years ago Inter won the treble (Champions League, Serie A and Italian Cup), and so one can't not ask what happened in these last 2 years? the main problem was the coaching stability, after Mourinho left Inter, 5 different coaches took over, were even a particular coach was accused of losing control of the team (according to the President Moratti)... Congratulations go to Udinese where even though some important players left in the beginning of the year (Sanchez and Inler) but they still managed to clich the final Champions League place...

Finally just to mention just a point with regards to La Liga... The final Champions league place was taken by Malaga, that club were investment is being made by the President Sheikh Abdullah Al Thani... Maybe next season more money will be invested, who knows? But the surprising news in that league is the relegation of Villareal... From a team competing in the Champions League (even though this year all 6 games were lost by Villareal), to a relagated team.... It will be interesting to see what will happen to the likes of Giuseppe Rossi, Cani and Nilmar....

Now the attention will be the the Champions League final between Chelsea and Bayern... Both teams need this cup, and both for different reasons.... Chelsea will become the first London club to clinch it, and will grab a place in the CL, and Tottenham will lose theirs... Bayern on the other hand need the win because they are playing in front of their fans, and they are hungry for a trophy this season where Dortmund beat them twice in the last months to win the league and German Cup both against Bayern...

Also news will start circulating about transfers and also the expected Euro 2012.... So see yo on the next blog!!!
