Edy Reja quits Lazio

After speculation that Reja handed his resignation, it was confirmed by Reja himself saying that his time at Lazio is over. He has been in charge of Lazio since 2010 and had gone tough times, having handed his resignation twice before and both having them rejected. Reja said that Lotito always gave him his support, and even after he handed this latest resignation, Lotito told him to reflect on it before taking the decision. He admits though that if Lazio managed to grab that Champions League spot things would have been different. Lazio were hit with a lot of injuries and also the Italian football from last year lost a place from the Champions League, which means that now only the top 3 enter the CL, and not 4 as it has been before. Zola and Pioli are favourites to take over.
