Wikshire hoping that Australia win

The Australian midfielder Luke Wilkshire expects Denmark to be a tough opposition, but it will help them to perform well ahead of the Asian World Cup Qualifying games. Australia's coach Holger Osieck had not been able to train the team since February, which was before a friendly against Saudi Arabia which they won 4-2. After this friendly match Australia will face Oman away in 8th June, and home against Japan in 12th June. Last World Cup Qualifying Australia went through easily, beginning the campaign with a 4-0 win. According to Wilkshire he thinks that the 'Socceroos' can do it again even though the group appears to be tougher than the previous one.

He said results count and they are hoping to begin well. Oman is also a tough opposition especially when they play at home. In fact last time Oman faced Australia they managed to score, and so Australia have to play well to beat them. In the group they also have Japan, having quite a good talent in recent years, especially when the players are starting to play in Europe.

Brendan Rodgers agrees Liverpool deal

The Swansea coach agreed terms with Liverpool to become their new manager, according to sources. He signed for 3 years, and his signature is thought to be hours away from being official. The compensation that Liverpool will pay to Swansea will be around £5 million. Rodgers will replaced Kenny Dalglish after Liverpool sacked him because the team finished 8th. Even though they won the Carling cup and reached the FA Cup final, they were 17 points behind Tottenham, and so it wasn't enough to convince the owners. Rodgers managed to guide Swansea to the Premiership, becoming the first Welsh team to do so.

Last year Scholes retired, but was called back and played a key figure at Manchester, with Sir Alex Ferguson saying that he will renew Scholes contract. Scholes first game came as a substitute against Manchester City, which saw the Red Devils win that game. Scholes made 17 appearances in the Premier League this year adding also 4 goals, and came close to winning the title. In total he played nearly 700 games with Manchester United, scoring 154 goals, becoming the third most player who played for Manchester United. Scholes retired from international duty in 2004, but Capello tried to call him back in 2010, but Scholes rejected the offer.

Stramaccioni signs new contract

After a good start to his campaign as Inter coach, having won 5 games from nine last season, especially the important victory against Milan in the derby, Stramaccioni has been given a contract extension for another 3 years. The young coach who is only 36 years old has never had any experience as a coach apart from coaching the Inter primavera squad and leading them to the European Championship title. However he managed to impress his superiors at Inter with his new ideas and with his tactical approach. He has brought back enthusiasm to the players which was missing from the days of Mourinho.

He kind of reminds them of Mourinho himself. He is known for bringing youth players into the first team and he has already inserted Longo (the key player for the primavera victory of the European Championship) and Coutinho who has impressed with the loan spell at Espanyol. Stramaccioni wants to build a new Inter filled with young talent with a mix of experience from the seniors and he has already declared his intentions: To win a treble starting with the Europa League next season. Is he the right man for the job?

Claudio Ranieri chooses.... Monaco

In recent times there was a lot of speculation surrounding Ranieri, linking him to West Brom, but Claudio Ranieri chose Monaco. Ranieri agreed to coach the Ligue 2 club for 2 years, with a further option of 1 year renewal. West Brom had a chat earlier this month with Ranieri, about the possibility of taking charge of the club to replace Roy Hodgson. Monaco stated that Ranieri is the perfect coach for the club. SOMO KWA KINA DADA " SEVEN THINGS THAT WOMEN DO THAT DRIVE MEN MAD"

Making an anniversary out of everything

What is it with women turning the nice little things in life into a grand gift-exchanging, champagne-popping ceremony? We return home from a normal day at work to be met with a candle-lit dinner and an expensive looking gift but, quite frankly, it makes our heart stop. Have you done something wrong? Is it your birthday? My birthday? Oh silly me, it’s the anniversary of the first time we looked at each other. Please refrain from doing this, ladies. We have a hard enough time getting event dates right without being shouted at for not buying the dog a card to celebrate the anniversary of his first vaccination.

 Piling the bed with cushions

One would be mistaken for thinking that a bed is for sleeping in. We go to get our head down for the night, only to find the bed piled sky-high with strategically placed cushions that leave no room for us. What’s more, only a couple of these cushions actually have a purpose. We don’t need the tiny heart-shaped one or the big fluffy one that makes us sneeze – just a normal pillow to rest our head on will suffice. We don’t adorn the bed with DIY tools and model cars, so please tame your OCD (Obsessive Cushion Disorder) and stop making an elaborate display out of our bed so we can get down to the important stuff.

Asking men what they are thinking

It’s a classic example of how women like to test us, and possibly trick us into making the cardinal sin of admitting that we weren’t thinking about her at that particular moment. One minute we’re enjoying a cuddle, the next they’re hurling that question at us when we’re least expecting it. They say it so fast that we don’t have chance to make up a false reply or even to think straight, which leads us to stutter and then be accused of thinking of our ex. Asking what we’re thinking is basically a nice way of saying ‘you aren’t allowed to have private thoughts, unless they’re about me’
.
Saying ‘I’m fine’, when you’re not happy

So she stood in front of the television while the football was on, we got a bit iffy and snapped, and now all sorts of issues have been bought up. Then she says it – that passive-aggressive statement that marks the start of the dreaded silent treatment: “I’m fine”. Erm, are you really fine because you’ve just screamed at us until you’ve gone red in the face, and now you’re laying face down on the bed crying. If you’re unhappy just outline the problem and then we can sort it out and carry on as normal. Or – even better – don’t outline the problem and let us watch the football in peace.

  Using sex as a weapon

One of the most annoying things that a woman can do is deny her man of sexual privileges. Some women seem to take great pleasure in using our weakness to their own advantage through the classic ‘if you don’t do this, we’re not having sex’ scenario. If you’re going to stop us from doing one thing, please don’t let it be sex. We don’t stop you from eating and drinking, so please don’t mess with our basic human needs either.

 Being over-emotional

You cry at funerals, you cry at weddings, you cry at happy films, you cry at sad films. This makes us feel awkward because we just don’t know what to say or do when you’re sat sobbing all over our freshly ironed shirt. Where do all these tears come from? We think women should just have an annual crying day where they get together and cry for twenty four hours, before coming home and being normal for the other 364 days of the year. It would solve a lot of our problems.

 Incessant talking (kupayuka payuka)

We’ve heard that women are estimated to say around 20, 000 words a day – which is an awful lot compared to the paltry 7, 000 estimated for men – so we understand that she needs to get her daily nattering fix, but why is it always at the most inappropriate times? She was quiet all the way through the family dinner when we needed her to break the awkward silence, but as soon as we start getting to the competitive part of a multi-player game with our friends, she just won’t shut up about how cute the neighbour’s cat looks when it sits next to the rose bush. To make it even more annoying, the actual part of the story she was getting at whilst rambling on about the neighbour’s cat, was that the cat’s owner now works at the grocery store down the road. Ladies, if you’re going to talk, pick the right moment and please, just get to the point.

The "Polish Götze"

Legia Warsaw have a wonderkid in their squad which is tipped to be the Polish version of Borussia Dortmund's Mario Götze. Rafal Wolski is by many considered to be the hottest prospect in Polish football, and he was even included in the Polish squad list for the Euro 2012. He is the only uncapped player to have made the list (he was uncapped at that time, but later on he made his debut in a friendly match against Latvia). The player's agent has announced that following interest from several European clubs the player will leave Warsaw this summer, and one of the representatives have said that Dortmund are leading the race for his signature. The German champions made an offer of around 4.5 million for the youngster, but after his impressive debut his price has soared through the skies.

Vermaelen could be out against England

Thomas Vermaelen has been playing with a minor groin injury lately with Arsenal, and he hopes that he could recover to play in the friendly match against England on Saturday. Thomas Vermaelen missed out the beginning of the season with Arsenal with an ankle injury, but now he is determined that he will feature against England. Also he commented of what to expect from the match saying, that although England has some quality players, Belgium too have some like Hazard, and so they can be England if they play well.

PM Mario Monti: "Italian football should be suspended"

According to Italy Prime Minister, Mario Monti, the Italian FA should suspend its football for 2-3 years because of corruption. The latest scandal called 'Scommessopoli' resulted in Domenico Criscito being withdrawn, and Lazio captain Stefano Mauri arrested. 6 years ago, Italian football was also hit by a major scandal involving mainly Juventus, which saw the Bianconeri being relegated. Yesterday the police raided Criscito's locker in Coverciano, to search for any evidence. This latest scandal infuriated Monti so much that he said that drastic actions are needed to be taken. This latest scandal created deep sadness and humiliation for him, as the case continues to grow and unfold. In fact he even is proposing this action in Parliament, but as he said it's his opinion and not of the government; and this is done for the benefit of Italian football.

Emre to join Atletico Madrid

Emre Belozoglu will join Atletico Madrid as a free agent. He has been playing at Fenerbahce in recent times, and he decided to go to Spain after this experience. Atletico Madrid has another Turkish player playing with them, Arda Turan, who expressed his delight at Emre joining the club. He signed for 2 years.
