Ashley Young joins Manchester United

After Phil Jones Manchester United has signed another highly rated English winger Ashley Young from Aston Villa, the 25-year old has passed the medical and the deal is reported to be worth around £16m-£20m.

This is Sir Alex Ferguson's second signing during the summer transfer window, Reds have already signed a highly rated youngster Phil Jones from Blackburn rovers for £16.5m.

Ashley Young was signed from Watford  in January 2007 in a deal worth 10m and he scored 38 goals for Aston Villa in 190 appearances.

Ashley Young had made it clear to Villa that he will not be singing a contract extension which was due to expire next summer, this forced Villa to sell him to Manchester United. It is predicted that Ashley Young is signed as a replacement for the ever green Manchester United star Ryan Giggs who is like to end his career after 2011-2012 campaign with Reds.

Chelsea appoint Villas Boas as new manager

After sacking another manager in a short time now Chelsea has appointed Villas Boas as their new manager, the most interesting thing about the appointed of the new manager is the signing fee they have paid to FC Porto. Blues pay 15 million euros for the 33- year old Portuguese manager. Chelsea confirmed that Villas-Boas is due to begin work immediately on three-year contract worth in the region of £4.4m a year.

Villas Boas wins two domestic and Euro Cup last season with FC Porto. Villas Boas has worked as a scout at Stanfordbridge under former Blues manager Jose Mourinho whom he followed at Inter Milan. Villa Boas is the youngest manager in the Premier league and people have already started to compare him with Pep Guardiola.

After the arrival of Villa Boas there is one good and on bad thing thing that could rock the future of current squad at Stanford bridge. The good thing about the arrival of young Portuguese manager is that he is not new to English Premier league as he has worked with the Blues when Jose Mourinho was in charge, and the worst is that most of the star players in the current Chelsea's squad could not fit his starting lineup.

After the arrival of former Porto manager at Stanford bridge it is expected that some of the players will follow him to London. One of his first moves as the new Chelsea manager could be to sign the Porto's star striker Falcao who would cost Blues around £25m. New Blues manager accepts comparisons with former boss Jose Mourinho are inevitable, but has told the fans that it will not be a one man show to guide Chelsea towards success.

We all know about the nature of Abramovich he has sacked more than 6 managers during the last five years and this time he has spend around 30m on Villa-Boas and in order to build a competitive squad, the Portuguese manager should stay for at least three years.
