UEFA introduced financial Fair Play rules for European clubs

UEFA has introduced and approved new financial fair play rules for European clubs, the core principle of this new rule is the break-even requirement, according to which all clubs cannot continuously spend more than their income. The main purpose of this initiative is to promote financial responsibility among all European clubs.

According to new Fair Play rules clubs will be permitted up to £38.5m in losses during the first period of 2011-12-13. However if the clubs miss these target they will escape sanctions as long as their losses are reduced or if the current debt is due to the spending on transfer fees and wages before 2010.

These new rules can become headache for European clubs, as per UEFA aggregate loss of top European’s clubs was £57.8m, Approx 65% of income was spend on average salaries and 47% of clubs report losses. UEFA introduce new rules after the huge spending by Manchester City as discussed in

English Premier league new rules: Behind the scene

During the January transfer window £225m were spend by English clubs out of which 80% were invested on
4 players. Chelsea, Liverpool and Aston Villa all break their banks for the record signings of English football history. Currently Manchester City, Chelsea and Aston Villa are the one who could face the allegation unless they change their habit. Despite huge debts put on the Manchester United by Glazers they are likely to pass UEFA new Fair Play rules.

Clubs that breach the rules will not be granted a UEFA club license to take part in European competitions.

All clubs looking to get hold of current stars and new young blood for cheap

Its now just two months before the crucial summer transfer window, Scouts and players agents are busy in settling deals with the potential targets.

We saw during the winter transfer window English clubs spent huge amount of money on young players Chelsea splashed approximately £75m on deadline day, where as Liverpool also spend £57m on two strikers. As we all know that  during the winter prices are too high and no one want to splash huge amount of money during the winter transfer window. But if we look at the brighter side when clubs are unlikely to settle contract talks with their players they sell them cheaply like we saw in Steven Pienaar's Everton sold their 9m rated player in just £3.2m.

During the last two years we saw big giants spend millions of pounds on the star players but now the trend is changing, everyone is looking to grab young players. Now instead of buying a star player everyone is looking to sign the future star. Like we saw Arsenal signs Cesc fabregas, Thiery Henry, Samir Nasri and lot more stars.

Clubs like Chelsea, Manchester City, Arsenal, Real Madrid, ACMilan, Inter Milan and other giants are liked with youth players.Chelsea have already confirmed the signing of 17-year old midfielder Lucas Piazon from Sao Paulo. Where as Arsenal , Manchester Unied, Liverpool and other clubs have also confirmed the the singing the young stars.

New signings will not only bring charm in the current squad but will also help them to reduce the wage bill. Where as on the other end Managers are now offered the new short term deals, the risk of loosing job is increasing day by day as the owners have long term plans but short term objectives. If we only look in to the situation of Premier league 4 to 5 manager loose their jobs during the 2010-2011 season. Just because they started the season with a boom but they were unable to deliver in last 5 to 7 matches.

Chelsea decided to reduce the wage bill

Premier League giants Chelsea is the club to have the highest wage bill in England, due to this reason they offload  players like Ballack, Belleti, Joe Cole and Ricardo Carvalho with massive wages during the last summer transfer window. Now reports suggest that they are ready to offload out of form star Frank Lampard who is 32 years old now and paid around £7.2m a year.

Currently Chelsea's wage bill is much higher than that of Manchester City's bill, Ashley Cole is the worlds most leftback, Peter Cech is the Premier league's most expensive goalkeeper and so on.. We saw during the winter transfer window Chelsea signs Fernando Torres and David Luiz with a massive fee but on reasonable wage. Chelsea also renewed the contract of their teenage star Gael Kakuta.

Now including Chelsea clubs all around the world have adapt they strategy of singing young players from every part of the world, we saw in past Arsenal adapted the same strategy and now they have players like Robin Van Persie, Cesc Fabregas, Gael Clichy and Samir Nasri on nominal wages but on the other end they are not the most successful club due to lack of experienced players in their squad.

We saw when new American owners completed the takeover they immediately appointed former Tottenham sporting director Damien Comolli as the Director of football strategy. And in no time they offloaded aged Benayoun and out of form Fernando Torres at a very very good price. They also bring young players like Jonjo Shelvey, Suarez and Andy Caroll. Now they have plotted £5.5m for Ghanaian international Andre Ayew. Liverpool is also linked with number of young exciting players like Ashley Young, Charles Nzogbia and Eden Hazard.

Today Sao Paulo have confirmed they that they ave agreed a deal with Chelsea Lucas Piazon. the 17-year od midfielder will move to Premier League in January 2012 which is firs transfer window to open after he turns 18 later this year. The deal is worth around £5.3m, Chelsea faced a tough competition from Juventus but eventually got the deal in their favor.

Spurs through to champians league qaurter final where as Arsenal falls

After an outstanding performance at San Siro, Spurs hold the Seria A giants at White hart lane. Despite having worlds most expensive strikers like Ibrahimovoc, Pato and Robinho AC Milan failed to even once during the two legs. AC Milan are Seria A campaign leaders with 63 points and looks set to go all the way this season. The departure world's most successful European manager Jose Morinho from Inter Milan is one of the reason for their successful run in the Seria A. Jose Morinho is the only manager who wins Champions league with three different clubs Chelsea, Porto and Inter Milan. whereas Inter Milan are still searching for the right man to fill the gap created by the departure of Portuguese.

Tottenham wins the first leg with a goal from Peter Crouch but Harry Redknapp shows very defensive behavior in the second leg and his rarely looks to attack the Italian giants. But now they have qualified for the quarter final and they have every ingredient to qualify for the semis.

Arsene Wenger's side on the other day looses 4-3 on aggregate, there were many talking points in the match Fabregas back heel, Van persie's red card, Why Koacielny stays despite having dangerous tackles on Barcelona players, Szczesny's dislocated finger and much more.. Arsene Wenger side started the second leg very defensively, they defended well in the first half but were unable to keep the possession and gave away ball very cheaply during 90 mins and they pay the price.

We all know that Cesc Fabregas was not fit enough to play but even then he stays for more the 60 mins on the field before being substituted. Andrey Arshavin who is in good form these days replaces Cesc Fabregas but the two goals in quick succession by Barcelona shatters the Gunner's hope to qualify for the Quarter final, Arsenal replaces Rosicky with Nicklas Bendtner despite having Marouane Chamakh on the bench, and they pay the price when Bendtner misses an easy chance soo late in the game to get his side through.

Every season we listen that Arsenal have mature squad now but the problem is in the inexperience defense line and Goalkeeper if they want to win something they have to spend some cash on experience players.
