Arsenal looses Carling cup final

After six years without glory Arsenal again failed to bring a trophy to home, Arsenal dominates the the game from the start but they failed to convert half chances to goals. And also due to some extra ordinary saves by Ben Foster all of the Arsenal's attempts to score second goal were ruined.

Birmingham City striker Nikola Zigic headed Birmingham in front on the 28 minutes, but Robin Van Persie equalized the score with a fine volley.

It was Arsenal who dominated the second half and played a very calculated football but all of their efforts were saved by blues goal keeper Ben Foster. And in the last minute of the second half a mistake by reds defender and goalkeeper was very well cashed by on loan striker Martins which gives blues the glory they deserved.

Once again Arsenal's two main players captain Cesc Fabregas and Theo Walcott failed to play their part in massive final due to injuries. No doubt Arsenal has played a very good football this season they have dominated the game against almost every team but the gaps are still there. Despite announcing huge profits this season they didn't buy a much needed experienced goalkeeper which hurts the Arsenal throughout the season and they are still feeling the pressure.

Now all eyes are on their second leg in Champions league against Barcelona, they are leading with 2-1 lead on aggregate, but will they able to produce their Emirates form at Barcelona after loosing Carling cup final...

Ancelotti on brink of being sack

After a worst Premier league run by Chelsea in Premier league since ten years and an early from Carling Cup and FA Cup, Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti is under intense pressure and on the brink of being sacked.

Chelsea invested 74 million during the winter transfer window on two players Fernando Torres and David Luiz. But Italian manager made a mistake by making the debut of Torres against his own club, Torres looks under too much pressure since joining Chelsea and is unable to justify his price tag of 50 million.

Carlo Ancelotti helps Chelsea to win the double during the last season but if Chelsea keep on playing like they have played throughout the season their Champions league spot will be in danger.
Reports suggest that Chelsea's todays clash with FC Copenhagen would decide Ancelotti's future at Chelsea. Blues have lost everything this season and their last hope is to perform well in Champions league and retain there Champions league spot.

During the last five years Chelsea is the only club in the Premier League to have tested more managers than anyone else, The main problem with the blues is the inconsistent behavior of Russian owner Roman Abramovich. And now it looks like Guus Hiddink  who had a small successful spell at Chelsea would end Ancelotti's misery.

Wenger desperate to keep stars

Once again Arsene Wenger is facing challenge to keep his sparkling squad intact. Various clubs around the world have shown interest in gunners squad.

Arsenal has the youngest and the most talented squad in England, It has always been a problem with the Arsenal that they have unable to convince the stars to stay at Emirates. And now once again Arsenal's and world's most creative midfielder Cesc Fabregas has been linked with a move away from Arsenal. Arsene Wenger was able to convince the Spaniard to stay gunners during the summer transfer window when he was desperate to join Spanish giants Barcelona. But the story will be different this time.

Barcelona were overpowered by the price tag of £60 million during the last summer transfer window, but now they will not be able to hold the midfielder by his price tag. Fabregas is a potential target of Chelsea, Barcelona and Real Madrid, all willing to rescue the services of Arsenal's star and capable of paying the price too.

Robin Van perse is also a £30 million target of Real Madrid, where as Chelsea are chasing the Russian star Andrey Arshavin.

It is the last chance for Arsense Wenger to keep his stars, the only way to convince the gunners stars is trophies. If Arsenal will be able to win one or two this season he will surely secure the services of all of his stars but if not the story will be be different..

Arsenal has not win a single trophy during last four years but now this season they are looking the most dangerous side in Premier League, FA Cup and Champions league.

Premier League transfer window deadline day special

After a very quite three weeks and six days of January transfer window on 31st January Premier League clubs open their pockets and splash a lot of cash. English giants Chelsea break all transfer records after they grab Fernando Torres from Liverpool in £50m. Before this exclusive signing Manchester City holds record of most expensive signing worth £32.5m when they signs Robinho from Real Madrid.

Chelsea spends around £75m on deadline day for Spanish striker Fernando Torres and Brazilian defender David Luiz. Chelsea had their worst run ever in the Premier league over last 10 years. They had six games misery without a win. Due to such winless streak Chelsea are now 9 points behind their worst rivals and Premier League title contenders Manchester United. And deadline day signings show they are desperate to win trophies this season. Remember Chelsea had a massive double last season under their new Italian manager.

Not only Chelsea, Liverpool also splash around £55m on the deadline in order to sign Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez. They lost one brilliant striker but signs two young guns. After their worst run since 1960 Liverpool are at the seventh spot in the Premier League and are improving day by day under their newly discovered manager. And if they keep on playing with this momentum they still have very good chance to reclaim Champions League spot.

The competition at the top is increasing day by in Premier league where every team have a very competent squad and is capable of beating each other. English Premier league history is is not favorable for the expensive signings during the last ten years, Clubs like Chelsea, Bolton, Everton, Manchester City had massive losses with the signings of Shevchenko, Elmander, Yakubu and Robinho respectively and lot more. These players were failed to adjust themselves in the English conditions and style of playing football. which requires more strength and stamina then any other league in the world.
