West Ham signs Robbie Keane

West Ham have confirmed the signing of Robbie Keane from Tottenham on loan until the end of season with a view to make £6 m permanent move for the next two and half years if they able to win relegation battle.

West Ham are currently in the bottom half of the table and are fighting to avoid relegation. It seems |Avram Grant have made a wrong selection because at now they do not need striker to boost the current squad. All the need is a good defender to partner Matthew Upson, West Ham already have some very good players up front including Carlton Cole, Piquionne, Victor Obinna.

From the start of the current campaign despite some extra ordinary performance of Robert Green West Ham have lacked the quality in the defense which has hurt them badly, Earlier this month West Ham made an attempt to replace Avram Grant with Martin O Neil
but the negotiations were not through.

Avram Grant has now added Robbie Keane to his big squad but it looks unlikely that he will be the one who could save West Ham from relegation.

Chelsea chasing Torres, Liverpool are after Suarez

Transfer season Special:
Premier League giants Chelsea have confirmed their interest in Spanish striker Fernando Torres, after failing with an initial bid of  £35 m plus Daniel Sturridge Chelsea are now coming back with improved bid of  £42m plus Daniel Sturridge.

But the reports suggests that Liverpool want  £42m cash plus Chelsea's star front man Nicolas Anelka which would made the deal worth around  £50m. It looks like Liverpool are asking too much for the Spanish striker.

Currently Chelsea have Drogba, Anelka, Kalou and Sturridge up front and if Chelsea agree to accept the terms of Liverpool it would be a good deal for both the clubs but the only hindrance would be the amount of cash that Liverpool are demanding against Fernando Torres.

Torres had a very quite start of a season but he is now getting back to his best after scoring two important goals for the Reds in the last match. Liverpool are also chasing Ajax striker Suarez but until they the two clubs have failed to agree the transfer fee. It looks if the the Torres deal is through before the deadline day Liverpool would also sign Ajax striker. Like Torres ajax are also asking a massive amount for the Uruguayan star, but it looks that the deal might be through if Liverpool are pay amount in the region if  £22m.

Darren Bent's completes shock move to Villa

The 26-year old England international Darren Bent has completed his shock move to Aston Villa. The £ 24 million deal was agreed on Monday night. This is the highest price they have ever paid for any player.
Darren Bent joined Sunderland from Tottenham in 2009. Bent had a great last season with Black Cats and catches the attention of managers all over the world through his extraordinary performances. Bent has already scored 11 goals this season but scores only once during his last eight Barclays Premier League appearances.

Darren is Gerard Houllier's second signing of the season, he has already signed Jean Makoun from Lyon, where as their two most creative players Ashley Young and Stewart Downing is linked with a move away from Villa park.
On the other hand Steve Bruce who receives a handsome amount for his star striker has criticize Bent over his decision to leave. He expressed that club is massively let down by hi decision to Aston Villa. He added " Its hugely disappointing that Darren has decided that his future lies away from Sunderland and the players, our supporters and the club as a whole has every right to feel massive let down"
No doubt Darren Bent will be under a lot of pressure at Aston Villa. He has to play upfront with out of form striker Gabriel Agbonlahor. Currently Aston Villa is batting to retain their top form; they are at seventeenth spot in the Premier League and looking desperate to avoid relegation.

English Premier league new rules: Behind the scene

World football trend is changing after the increase in the price and wages of football players all over the world. During last two years Players like Cristiana Ronaldo, Ibrahimovic, Kaka and Robinho were sold in amount heavier than their actual weight.

After this managers all over the world have set their sights to the youth academy players and have started to sign them before they impress in the first team. Past big spenders like Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Barcelona, Manchester City, Liverpool, AC Milan and Inter Mialn have adopt the new strategy and set their sights on these young footballers.

We have noticed after the massive spending by Manchester City during the last two years due to which money was rolling out of England, after considering such situation New Premier league rules were introduced according to which every club must register a 25 man squad in which they should have a minimum of eight grown players. Means that they have been associated with FA or Welsh FA for three seasons (or 36 months) prior to their 21st birthday. And home grown does not refer nationality, simply how much years they have spend in England as a youngster. Moreover club can also supplement squad with unlimited number of players under the age of 21.

These rules were introduced to help English economy and to bring in a lot of cash in future. New rules will not only help England government but will also be favourable for the clubs future.

Liverpool's worst nightmare

Liverpool had a new set back after they loose 2-1 against newly promoted Blackpool. Blackpool has a first double over Liverpool since 1946-47.

New Liverpool manager Kenny Danglish had a very poor start since he returns as a Liverpool manager almost after two decades. Liverpool started the match with an early strike from Fernando Torres but after that they were pushed to back foot and played awful football.

Danglish started the game with two Premier League's highly uncreative midfielders Poulson and Lucas, this decision hurts Liverpool badly and the other bad experiment was to play Glen Johnson at left back. We have seen throughout the season Liverpool starts the game with one striker up front and same trend was also followed in the game against Blackpool.

Danglish has been offered the post of Liverpool manager temporarily and if they keep on playing like this he will also be shown the back door soon.

Despite have too many players Liverpool are still missing the magical touch that they had under Benitez. Alberto Aqualani who was signed from AS Roma in the last season was loaned out to Juventus after he returns from injury. This was also one the decision the hurts Liverpool. Despite have high quality and world class players like Steven Gerrad, Jamie Carragher, Fernando Torres, Pepe Reina, Glen Johnson and Joe Cole they are still not looking to finish the season in the top 10.

Chelsea renews their interest in David Luiz

Initially having £ 17m bid rejected by Benfica, Chelsea have now renewed their interest on Brazilian defender and they are set to offer massive £20m plus Portuguese right back Paula Ferreira.
Chelsea has been lacking the quality in defense this season after Ricardo Carvalho was sold to Real Madrid
and their first choice Alex in still out. Now Chelsea has only Ivanovic available to partner with John Terry.
If Chelsea would be successful in bringing the Brazalian to Stanford bridge, It will be a huge relief for the John Terry and Chelsea manager who is looking for someone to partner with John Terry in the absence of Alex.

Mourinho: Diarra is not for sale

Real madrid manager Jose has made it clear that he is not willing to sell Lassana Diarra.

After the arrival of German world cup star Sami Khedira, it looks that former Chelsea and Portsmouth midfielder time at Bernabeu is over and he was constantly linked with a move back to English giants Manchester United.
Sir Alex Ferguson was keen to get the services of Frenchman in £ 14 million after they injury prone Owen Hargreaves failed to recover. Diarra joined Madrid from Portsmouth for a fee of £ 20 million in 2009.

Lassana Diarra started the last game for the Spanish giants, and was able to impress Jose Mourinho.

Mourinho said: "Diarra has played well recently. He was even in the starting 11 while usual midfielders were available.
"That proves I want him to go on here."

Gorden will be offered new contract

Sunderland star goalkeeper Gordon is set to offer a new contract by black cats, Gordon has 18 months left in his current contract and he is set to offer the new five year contract.

Sunderland boss Steve Bruce is looking to retain world class Gordon and will offer him a long term deal to ensure his future remains at Wearside.

Bruce told, "He's massively important to us and I've said repeatedly said, the longer he plays, the better he becomes"

Gordon's current form is responsible for the new deal from the Black cats, he made a world class save against Bolton and earn 3 crucial points for his team.

Roy Hodgson leaves Liverpool

As predicted earlier last month Roy Hodgson has left Liverpool after the mutual agreement. Roy Hodgson took charge of Liverpool at the start of 2010-2011 campaign but failed show his Fulham magic at Anfiled
.

Roy Hodgson enjoyed a great last season with Fulham, Both in Barclays Premier league and also in Europa league. In their first ever Europa League final they lost against Atletico Madrid.

When Roy Hodgson joins Liverpool from Fulham, there was a lot of expectancy from him but he failed to make his impact on struggling reds. Currently Liverpool are just four points above the relegation zone and new manager has big shoes to fill.

From their current position it looks very difficult that reds will be able to finish in the top five, but in football anything can happen any time, it is a game that changes every second. And now the newly appointed Liverpool manager Kenny Dalgish who has managed Liverpool before during 1985 and 1991 will have to prove his worth at Liverpool.
